This was STRAW's maiden attempt to carry out a humane and animal welfare education program outside of New Delhi through its volunteers. And its a pleasure to mention that it was a huge success.
Archana Gautham, one of STRAW's volunteers successfully carrying out a humane and animal welfare education program for about 100 #schoolchildren of classes 5 & 6 of Modern School, Kanpur.
The students were taught the importance of the much needed freedom for animals and birds 🐦. Through drawing and essay writing activities, they learnt that animals and birds should be allow to live freely in their own habitats.
At the end of the program, all the children pledged to NEVER to keep their pet dogs chained or their birds caged.
