A humane and environment program was conducted at @Deepalaya community library by @Preeti Singh@Vasanthi Kumar.
There were 45 young readers in strength between age 5 to 14 years. A humane and environment program was conducted at @Deepalaya community libraryrs. The program was structured in a way to encourage an interaction where children can speak their mind, share their thoughts, ask questions or clarify their doubts.
We showed them two movies one was to show the friendship between human and community animals and how we can create a healthy and happy relationship with animals around us. Second movie was on plastic and how it affects our environment, followed by group sing and dance along activity.
It's amazing to see how these young readers are keen and care so much for the environment and our surroundings.😇
All students collectively took the following pledges:
1) To never throw leftover food in the dustbin but to feed the community animals with it.
2) To put out water bowls outside or near their homes for animals and birds
3) To never hit an animals in the community
4) To educate their parents to separate dry and wet waste at home
5) To stop their families from burning plastic
It was very enriching experience and kudos to @Batsala mam for devoting her time and efforts to encourage and inspire these young students. Loved the greeting card, all the love and warmth you showered at us. 🤗♥️
