Our second Humane Education Workshop was conducted at CRPF Public School Dwarka, New Delhi, on July 20,2019. It gave us an opportunity to sensitise 100 children of age group 9-10 years.
The children were shown a short film on the life of a street dog, and then encouraged to interact and share their thoughts, fears and get their misconceptions cleared.
We receive a very welcoming response both from the students and the teachers. At the end of the session, all the hundred and odd students pledged the following:
1) To never waste food and to instead feed street animals around their house, with it.
2) To put out water bowls for the strays and the birds
3) To try their best to accommodate dogs under their staircases or other such places so that the poor dogs are able to sit in a dry and less mucky place in the rains.
4) Never throw food to a dog from their windows
Thank you Binny for taking the iniative to organize this at your school.
