Compassionate Hearts Program at Sanjay Camp

Apr 02, 2022 @ 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM Sanjay Camp, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi

Project Poshan of NSS-SVC in collaboration with Straw India, an animal welfare NGO that creates awareness about various animal welfare issues among school children and college students, organized a program to sensitize the children of Sanjay Camp on the topic understanding the body language of dogs.

The title of the program was 'Compassionate HEARTS. The session was for about two long hours and included children enacting the acts of different animals. The children were then sensitized about topics lik 'How to Behave Around Community Dogs' and 'Preventing Dog Bites'. This was followed by children enjoying a craft activity where they wrote their personal stories and drew pictures of their favorite animals and made them into mini story books on animal compassion.

Thank you, NSS Team of Sri Venkateswara College for giving us this opportunity to carry out this session with the wonderful kids of the Sanjay Camp, at Chanakyapuri, New Delhi
